2008 vice presidential debate
The 2008 presidential election had a single vice presidential debate on October 2, featuring Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin and Democratic candidate Joe Biden. It was held at Washington University in St. Louis and moderated by Gwen Ifill, the managing editor of PBS’ Washington Week. The debates were watched by 63 million people, making it the third most watched debate in history. The 2008 vice presidential debate had more viewers that even first debate between John McCain and Barack Obama, held a week earlier.

2006 Alaska gubanatorial debate
In 2006, Palin ran against former Democratic governor Tony Knowles and independant candidate Andrew Halcro. This debate was held on November 2 at the KAKM TV studios in Anchorage and was moderated by Christopher Clark, the state capital reporter for KTOO-TV in Juneau.
