Since the Taliban recaptured Kabul last month, fear has been rising in neighboring Pakistan about the effect that fundamentalism may have on its own citizens.

Man taking care of an orphaned elephant at Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage in Sri Lanka. This orphanage provides a lifeline to the orphaned baby elephants and orphaned elephants lost in the wilderness. Wild elephants in Sri Lanka have been subject to trafficking but environmentalist are fighting to protect them from being illegal captured and purchased.
