The columns, editorials, opinion blogs and videos on our site are not intended to be representative of the opinions of the DailySource or of the editors compiling the page. Often the editors pick pieces with opinions that are the opposite of their own.

We aim to pick pieces that let our readers explore various topics and points of view, yet we do not aim to do a point-counterpoint on topics in this section. We scan hundreds of new editorials and columns and pick the best we find. We aim to pick items that are intelligently written, that explore topics in ways that news stories cannot, and that engender thought and civil debate without reverting to hate.

We also seek to avoid pieces which use false information to support opinions. If you see something clearly hateful or with false information in our op-ed section, please fill out our Op-Ed Report form. Give us the URL of the item, the title of the item and a brief description of how it does not meet our guidelines, and we will look into it.
