Alarm is growing over the fate of the Tigray region’s some 6 million people as fighting is reportedly as fierce as ever between Ethiopian and allied forces and those supporting the now-fugitive Tigray leaders who once dominated Ethiopia’s government.

Citizens of Myanmar gather in Yangon on Feb. 6 to protest the military coup and demand the release of elected leader Aung San Suu Kyi. Another hundred thousand people poured on to the streets in Myanmar on Wednesday to voice their anger at the coup and reject an army claim that it has majority support.
