Saddam Hussein's cousin Ali Hasan Al-Majid, also known as "Chemical Ali," stands in court as he is sentenced to death by Chief Judge Mohammed Oraibi Al-Khalifa, unseen, during a trial in Baghdad, Iraq. Ali Hasan Al-Majid was found guilty for his role in the use of chemical weapons in an offensive said to have killed some 180,000 people during the 1980-88 Iran-Iraq war.
