CO2 emissions. Levels of the damaging greenhouse gas carbon dioxide have reached an alarming new milestone at the world’s oldest measuring station in Hawaii. It is estimated the last time CO2 concentrations were this high was during the mid Pliocene epoch 2.5-5 million years ago.

Pork accounts for three-quarters of the total meat consumption in Vietnam, a country of 95 million people, where most of its 30 million farm-raised pigs are consumed domestically. An ongoing outbreak of African swine fever has hit farms in 29 provinces, and prompted the authorities to cull more than 1.2 million pigs.
