A United Nations investigation found that Myanmar’s crackdown against the Rohingya people had been carried out with “genocidal intent." The UN mission’s chairman said the victim accounts were among “the most shocking human rights violations” he had come across and would “leave a mark on all of us for the rest of our lives”.
