As of February 2021, Kenya hosted 512,494 refugees and asylum seekers, with Dadaab and Kakuma camps accounting for 224,462 and 163,299 refugees respectively. Now the government threatens to displace some 400,000 refugees by ordering aid agencies to close down the country’s two biggest camps to date.
