A Kuchi girl holds her little brother and waits patiently for their turn to receive shoes, candy and toys during a U.S. Forces sponsored humanitarian mission to their village in Herat province in November 2010. Historically, most Afghans looked down on the Kuchi because they were nomads with no roots, but the perception is starting to change as Afghans become more open minded and begin to look at this tribe as equal brothers and sisters.
