Merrymakers celebrate Loi Krathong, or Festival of the Lanterns, in Thailand. The festival is held every year on the evening of the full moon of the 12th month in the traditional Thai lunar calendar. It usually occurs in November. Thais mark the occasion by putting baskets in drifting water.
