Social justice advocate the Rev. Al Sharpton (foreground) took part in the “We Stand United” rally in New York City the night before the inauguration of U.S. President Donald Trump. Other participants included New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, filmmaker Michael Moore, and actors Mark Ruffalo, Rosie Perez and Alec Baldwin. The rally was held outside of Trump International Hotel & Tower near Columbus Circle. Thousands of people attended the rally to tell Trump and Congress that New Yorkers stand united to protect the environment and civil rights.
