Martin Luther King III, the oldest son of slain civil rights leader the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., met with U.S. President-elect Donald Trump on Martin Luther King Jr. Day in an effort to help bridge the gap between Trump and the black community, which overwhelmingly voted for his Democratic opponent in the election.
