Pilot Jimmy Leeward taxis his P-51 Mustang for takeoff prior to the ill fated flight at the Reno Air show in Reno Nevada. The World War II-era fighter plane flown by Jimmy Leeward plunged into the edge of the grandstands during the popular air race creating a horrific scene strewn with smoking debris.
